Common Gate Valve failures and causes

Most Gate Valve installed on the system will not fail, and if problems do occur they are usually caused by a lack of engineering or maintenance experience. Gate Valve products generally include A41H spring slightly opened Gate Valve, A41Y spring slightly opened closed high-pressure Gate Valve, A41Y spring slightly opened closed high-pressure Gate Valve, AH42F spring closed safety return valve, A42Y-1000 full-open ultra-high pressure Gate Valve, LDA/LDWA Japanese standard Gate Valve, 900 German standard Gate Valve, QH40 quick switching Gate Valve, sanitary grade Gate Valve, GA49H impulse Gate Valve, A41Y spring slightly opened closed high pressure Gate Valve, NA42F built-in Gate Valve, QH40 quick switching Gate Valve and other types. With the widespread use of this type of valve, people have summarized several causes and solutions for user reference.

Concealed Rod Elastic Seated Gate Valve

1. The Gate Valve is leaking. The reasons for the failure are the following three points. The user needs to make adjustments accordingly:
(1) The contact surface between the Universal Valve and the valve seat is not tight;
(2) There is dirt on the contact surface between the Universal Valve and the valve seat;
(3) The Valve Stem is deflected.
2. The Gate Valve opens when the pressure is not specified. The solution is as follows:
(1) The spring adjustment pressure of the Universal Valve is insufficient, the spring fails or the elastic force is insufficient. The Gate Valve should be readjusted or replaced;
(2) The Universal Valve weight moves forward. The weight should be moved to the original constant pressure position and tightened with the limit screw.
3. The Gate Valve does not open when it reaches the specified pressure. The solution is as follows:
(1) If the Universal Valve is stuck to the valve seat, it can be ruled out by performing a manual exhaust test;
(2) The spring adjustment pressure of the Universal Valve is too large and should be readjusted;
(3) When the weight of the Universal Valve moves backward, the weight should be moved to the original constant pressure position and tightened with the limit screw.
