Throttle Valve structural characteristics and working principle

The Throttle Valve is a safety protection valve. Its opening and closing parts are in a normally closed state under the action of external force. When the medium pressure in the equipment or pipeline rises and exceeds the specified value, it automatically opens and discharges the medium out of the system. Prevent the pressure of the medium in the pipeline or equipment from exceeding the specified value. Throttle Valve are widely used in natural gas, petroleum gas and chemical Pressure Vessel equipment and industrial pipelines. They have the outstanding advantages of fire protection, explosion protection, anti-static, reliable sealing, rapid opening and closing, and large exhaust volume.

Engine Parts Throttle Valve

The Throttle Valve is composed of main valve, pilot valve, Relief Valve, joints and conduits. Under normal operating conditions, the medium pressure of the system acts both below and above the main valve disc.
Since the media action area of the air chamber above the main valve disc is larger than the media action area below, the main valve disc is in a closed state under the pressure difference. As the pipeline medium pressure rises, the sealing specific pressure obtained by the seal will also rise. This is exactly the opposite of the spring directly loaded Throttle Valve, that is, the higher the medium pressure, the more reliable the seal is. When the pipeline medium pressure is abnormal and reaches or exceeds the set pressure, the upper disc of the Universal Valve (Figure 2) quickly opens, and the medium in the air chamber above the main valve disc is quickly discharged through the exhaust joint of the Universal Valve. Under the strong action of pressure, it opens instantly and quickly discharges a large amount of medium from the outlet of the main valve, so that the medium pressure in the pipeline returns to normal working pressure, ensuring the safety of the system.
When the pipeline medium pressure drops to about 90% of the Throttle Valve setting pressure set by the system, the valve disc on the Universal Valve closes, and the pipeline medium enters the air chamber above the main valve disc through the Universal Valve. Under the action of pressure difference, the main valve is closed, ensuring the normal operation of the system.
Under normal operating conditions, the valve disc on the Universal Valve is in a closed state and the Universal Valve is in an open state. The pipeline medium enters the air chamber above the main valve disc through the lower valve disc, causing the main valve disc to close. When the pipeline medium pressure is abnormal and reaches or exceeds the set setting force, the Universal Valve closes under the action of the medium pressure, cutting off the pipeline medium from entering the channel above the main valve disc. At the same time, the upper valve disc of the Universal Valve is lifted up by the ejector rod, that is, The Universal Valve opens, and the medium in the air chamber above the main valve disc is quickly discharged through the exhaust joint. Under the strong action of the pressure of the medium below, the main valve disc opens instantly, quickly discharging a large amount of pipeline medium from the outlet of the main valve, restoring the pipeline medium pressure to normal working pressure, and ensuring the safety of the system. When the pipeline pressure drops to about 90% of the set pressure set by the system, the upper disc of the Universal Valve is closed under the action of the spring. At the same time, the Universal Valve is pushed open by the push rod, and the pipeline medium enters the upper disc of the main valve through the lower disc. The air chamber and the main valve disc are closed under the action of pressure difference, ensuring the normal operation of the system.
When it is found that the pipeline medium pressure is abnormal and the Universal Valve fails to open, the relief valve on the Universal Valve can be manually opened to release the medium in the air chamber above the main valve disc, causing the main valve disc to open and release the abnormal pressure of the medium in the pipeline, to ensure the security of the system.
