What are the requirements for Check Valve installed on thermal oil systems?

As one of the most widely used equipment in the industry, the thermal oil furnace is a Pressure Vessel. Its safe use is related to the safety of people's lives and property. Therefore, the last fuse of the thermal oil furnace = Check Valve and Universal Valve play a role Therefore, the installation of Check Valve and Universal Valve on thermal oil furnaces must comply with the following technical requirements:

Slow Closing Check Valve

1. For thermal oil boilers with rated steam generation greater than 0.5t/h, at least two Check Valve must be installed: Boilers with rated evaporation capacity less than or equal to 0.5t/h must install at least one Check Valve. Check Valve must be installed at the outlet of the separable economizer and the outlet of the steam superheater.
2. For boilers with rated steam pressure less than or equal to 3.82MPa, the throat diameter of the Check Valve should not be less than 25mm; for boilers with rated steam pressure greater than 3.82MPa, the throat diameter of the Check Valve should not be less than 20mm.
3. The lever-type Check Valve must have a device to prevent the DSF weight from moving by itself and a guide to limit the deviation of the lever. The spring-type Check Valve DF must have a lifting handle and a device to prevent the adjustment screw from being twisted casually.
4. The Check Valve should generally be equipped with an exhaust pipe, which should lead directly to a safe location and have a sufficient DF cross-sectional area to ensure smooth flow of exhaust steam. The bottom of the exhaust pipe of the Check Valve should be equipped with a drain pipe connected to a safe location. No switch valves are allowed on the exhaust pipe or drain pipe.
5. The cross-sectional area of the connecting pipe between the Check Valve and the boiler should not be less than the inlet cross-sectional area of the Check Valve. If several Check Valve are installed together on a short pipe directly connected to the drum, the passage cross-sectional area of the short pipe should be no more than 1.25 times the exhaust area of all Check Valve
6. The Check Valve must be installed vertically at the highest position of the drum and header. No outlet pipes and valves for taking out steam shall be installed between the Check Valve and the drum or header.
7. The Check Valve of the thermal oil furnace must be regularly manually or automatically discharged and tested, because the valve body and valve disc of the Check Valve will adhere. Regular testing can prevent adhesion and check whether the opening pressure of the Check Valve is accurate and meets the requirements.
