Function and purpose: adjust and control the outlet pressure of the main valve. The outlet pressure of the main valve does not change due to changes in the inlet pressure, nor does it change the outlet pressure due to changes in the outlet flow of the main valve. It can be used in domestic water supply, fire protection systems and industrial water supply systems.

The Pressure Relief Valve is a valve that reduces the inlet pressure to a required outlet pressure through adjustment, and relies on the energy of the medium itself to automatically maintain a stable outlet pressure. According to the working principle and structural form, Pressure Relief Valve can be divided into proportional pressure reducing valves and adjustable pressure reducing valves.

① Zoned water supply: When a high-rise building adopts a zoned fire water supply system, and the working pressure of the system is not greater than 2.40MPa, the zoned water supply can be used to reduce pressure by a Pressure Reducing Valve. Proportional pressure reducing valve:
The proportional pressure reducing valve is a pressure reducing valve that controls the pressure behind the valve according to a numerical ratio. It has a simple structure. The valve body has only one movable part, the piston. The difference in cross-sectional area at both ends of the piston is used to generate a pressure difference to achieve pressure reduction.
The outlet pressure of the pressure reducing valve has a fixed proportional relationship with the inlet pressure. The ratios are 2:1, 3:1, etc. and cannot be adjusted. The pressure behind the valve changes with the pressure in front of the valve, so the pressure behind the valve does not remain constant, but maintains a certain ratio with the pressure in front of the valve. When the pressure in front of the valve increases, the pressure behind the valve also increases proportionally. On the contrary, when the pressure in front of the valve decreases, the pressure behind the valve decreases proportionally, keeping the pressure ratio between the inlet and outlet of the pressure reducing valve unchanged. When there is no flow, the valve body is completely closed to reduce static pressure.
